Hyatt Place Pensacola Airport

if you can get a suite on the end I highly recommend it, a staircase and personal hallway with a view separates you from the rest of the rooms! Super quiet room Dr even right next to the airport, like literally 50 yards maybe. I guess I should also mention that the room itself was almost immaculate to the point it seemed. no one has. ever stayed in it before, closet, fridge, huge shower, great views, desk, sitting area with lots of seating and an amazing mattress for a hotel. Also a gym, heated pool, and then there's a coffee bar, restaurant, business center with PCs, printers, etc and more seating for privacy all in the lobby

I honestly have no idea how this place rates as high as it does but be warned- it’s DISGUSTING. The first issue is the staff- it took nearly 20 minutes just to check in and I was the only person in line! I don’t mean the actual process took 20 minutes either. It took that long for someone to even acknowledge my presence. Once I was finally noticed, it took another 10 minutes and a second payment in full to get my keys. The two people working had no idea what a credit card authorization is and even though my room was already paid for, I had to pay again using my own credit card because they didn’t understand how to process the virtual card my agency sent over. The female might have been the rudest person I’ve ever met but the other young man was courteous and apologetic. I finally made it to my room which was easily as humid as the Amazon jungle and the AC system did absolutely nothing to combat it. I felt like I had just gotten out of the shower the whole time I was in the room. The furniture is beat to hell, the sheets on the bed were dirty and felt like sandpaper against my skin. There’s no way I’d ever sit on the couch in the room and I’d be willing to bet if I had a black light, the place would have glowed like the sun the second I turned it on. There’s mold in the bathroom, the toilet is beat up, and the carpet is filthy with huge pulls in it. I saw several tenants that looked as if they’d been living here for months, and just trying to pull your key card out of the envelopes they use is hopeless. You just have to destroy it. The ancient TV’s require you to read a page of instructions about how to use it and that’s after you go back to the front desk to pick up the remotes that weren’t in the room. I could make this review long enough to dry up all of the Google bandwidth but it’s 4:30 AM and I’m tired because I can’t sleep on this bed in 100% humidity. This place should be rated a “half-star” but I can’t mark it that low. Stay somewhere else- trust me. I will never stay here again. I’d rather sleep in my car and shower at the truck stop.

The hotel is walkable from airport. Just walk through parking garage and follow signs ton”Hotel”. The place is Clean. Excellent service. Shuttle is great. Goes anywhere in 3 miles for free. Breakfast from 6-930. Full bar. I typically stay at Marriott (Fairfield, Residence inn, Soring hill). This Hyatt version is waaaaau better!
